How to Use Social Media to Build your Business and Brand

I can’t put enough emphasis on investing time on social media, this article on Entrepreneur focuses how a new store in Montreal was full of customers the moment they opened their doors, the secret: 6 months prior to opening, the owner was blogging and using Twitter to connect with influential people in her audience about topics relating to the opening of her store.

When was the last time you were consistent on your blogging? Connecting with strangers on Twitter about topics that are of interest to your business? All it takes is a few minutes to post on your blog, what’s stopping you from getting more easy leads?

Spectacular Mexican Restaurant, La Perla

I know a restaurant is good when I only see natives eating there. I landed the most authentic Mexican restaurant ever and in TN! Again, I’m new to the Tri-Cities area from FL. I was raised in Miami, born in Texas, so I’ve had my fair share of Mexican restaurants. But this restaurant, “La Perla” has been hands-down the most authentic, delicious, and affordable I’ve ever seen. I do have to warn you it isn’t fancy but it’s worth a visit and luckily for you, the menu is in English, if anything just point to your selection and order! If I was in charge of the marketing aspect, I would have a WordPress site to start and add a bunch of pictures, have specials on Facebook and Twitter, and include lots of videos.

Here are a few pictures:

Top Ten Takeaways From the Inbound Marketing Summit (#IMS11, #HUGS2011)

Guy Kawasaki

Guy Kawasaki

Two months ago, I had my commencement ceremony (in FL) and Inbound Marketing Summit scheduled for the same weekend. I knew I wouldn’t be able attend HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing Summit (IMS) because of my commencement ceremony. I was dying to meet one of the guest speakers, Guy Kawaski (Former chief evangelist of Apple, Co-founder of Alltop.com, Author of Enchantment) and learn more information about Inbound Marketing (I’m certified as an Inbound Marketing Certified Specialist through HubSpot). At the end of the day, my husband and I moved to TN (due to an amazing job offer), I couldn’t attend both my commencement and #IMS2011. But, I’m excited to share the top ten takeaways by someone who has attended this, please click here.

Scratch Foodworks’ Pizza is best described as a delicious and unexpected surprise. They make the pizza based on a trust system where you decide if you want to be surprised with the toppings or “limited” trust where you cross out the options you don’t want included on your pizza. It was delicious! Click Here to see their menu
